hi guys,
I live in south america, I always buy my cell phones at a company that bring SE phones direct from the factory, I just asked they about the w900i and they told me that it is not on sale anymore, and maybe it won't be available in the future.
Is all that true? I really want to buy a w900i, but know I donīt have anywhere to go!
Please confirm or reject this statement

but why SE would do this? isn't it a great phone? or does it have any problems?
What would it be the cause ?

It's been pretty much superceeded by the K800i and various other SE phones announced/released in the past 9 months or so. I heard a rumour that the W900i was more of a testing ground to see how certainly functionalities would work.

Interesting to note that it does support a Nvidia graphics chip but not one application has been released that makes full use of it.

is is virually but not exactly because, W900i = Much better vid quality and awesome features,

mate im having trouble too at Brisbane in AUS, company such as optus telstra, 3G etc. have to have past what they call the 3 point check or something.

and optus disscountined it from SE for some unknow reason
3G disscountined because it didnt past the 3G test, which was the battery life was way too short for the phone...
but telstra might me my only way out...

i've try to get with the W850 but it looks too ugly......

Cheers,
Bleach

Its strange how recently there has been a lot of demand for this phone in Australia, S Africa etc.

Talk about being a late bloomer!

@goldenface
Well next to no-one sold the phone, let alone promoted it. Coupled with the expensive plans that it was on, it just didn't become a hit. I'm sure if Three had the phone, it would've been much more popular. I think Vodafone monopolised it at the beginning.

i suppose that the very high price was mostly what discouraged people from it.. i REALLY want a Walkman phone as an upgrade from my k750, but I'm not fond of losing my AF as i use the camera a lot... bloody SE and there model separation...

Thats exactly what happened in the UK. Tonnes of branded Voda versions are available. More and more black versions are appearing on eBay too.
