When i had my T68 in london I would be able to get delivery confirmation when i sent an SMS. Now i am in the US, using voicestream and for some reason the option that enabled me to get delivery reports under messages>options>sms is no longer there...why is that? and how can i get it to work?

This feature is network provider dependent. so it seems that the US does not support this

to get a message delivery report precede your text message with: *not#
e.g. "*not#hi how are? please call me"
you will get a delivery report via sms

I have the same problem. I had my T68 in switzerland, with orange, and I had the option for delivery reports. Now Im in US with Cingular and the option is gone. If I roam, in Cingular, with my orange sim card, the option is there and the reports work.

You can also precede a message with RCT then the message (no space after it though).
I have it set up as a Template as it saves having to change to abc eveytime.
I does seem a little annoying to go from a phone on Orange (Nokia 7110) that had the option to always have them on and suddenly lose the option to have with this phone.
