Hi,
I paid Total Multiserver. Followed all instructions. Downloaded all required software including the USB driver. But no matter how I plug the phone into the computer the phone powers up. I am holding the C key etc. Very frustrating.
I notice that others have had this problem.
Any ideas out there?

I had the same problem.
Try removing the battery for 10 seconds.
Then reinstall the battery.
Then try the procedure again.

Thanks.
I removed battery for about 10 seconds on each attempt. I tried plugging USB cable into computer first as the instructions suggest .I then tried plugging USB into phone first. All the while holding down the C key. I tried downloading the USB driver when XP recognised it. Everytime the phone powered up and the Firmware upgrade failed to commence.
I have two ideas left that I will try later today:
1. Remove battery when phone is switched ON instead of when OFF and
2. Attempt procedure on another computer.
This computer does not have SP2 loaded.Maybe that is a problem. and
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!
OK I am back after having done the above and still no luck.
When I downloaded the USB DCU_60 cable drivers from Total multiserver I unzipped them but could not figure out how to install. So I let Windows XP search and install the drivers which it said was completed sucessfully.
So I am totally stumped.
Think I need a refund!

Well I tried only holding down C button for a second. The phone still powered up.
Total Multiserver have still not replied. I guess they are out on the town living the high life on my eight pounds.

Thanks,
I took a look at that and some related forum threads. It all looks a bit beyond my computing ability.Next time I am in the UK I will take the phone to someone who can flash it for me. There is place called King Mobile in Streatham Hill London who claim to be able to flash phones for 15 pounds. Their phone number (for anybody interested is 077 889 96001.
