You got a HP computer by any chance? I Don't think they've released an x64 driver yet

A quick google gave
this
which says

Installed Vista x64 and had the same Audio Problem. But I tried the F8 Option and it worked. Apparently Vista x64bit version does not allow unsigned drivers. So you'll have to press F8 on startup and choose option: " Disable checking for signed drivers" or something to that effect. Then Install the Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver, it should work fine. The down fall to this is that you'll have to choose that option every time you restart else windows will disable the sound..

. but that's ok at least i got sound as the cost of 4 button click at start up.. phewww.. now i could go listen to my music,,

...
By the way here's where i got mine:
