lol! i know that there are so many people with them so far, that it would just make sense to legalise them. The only problem is if people open these things up, max the radio power up and then start broadcasting a pirate radio station with it...but it would be fun annoying my parents with one of these...put it on the radio 4 bandwidth! lol tehe...

It transmits your music or podcasts etc as a 'local' readio station. This means that when you put it in the car, tune the cars radio to the right freq, you get to hear all your good tunes in car radio quality !!
The transmit distance is limited as the signal power output is not that high.

yea it says that only small low power transmitters are allowed:
"legalise the use of low-power FM transmitters such as the "iTrip"
"From December 8, transmitters which are deemed not to cause interference with other broadcast services will be legal to use and will carry a CE mark indicating approval for sale in the European Union."
