I know Paypal offers buyer protection for cases where the item (a phone for example) is lost, damaged, or you are just scammed. And they refund your money if your complaint is legit.

Is paymate or bidpay like this too? Do they refund money if needed?

thanks

I'm not sure, have you checked their sites?

http://www.paymate.com.au/

http://www.bidpay.com/

Since I'm sure PayPal has a connection with Ebay in ensuring user satisfaction, it might not be the same with Paymate and Bidpay. But I don't really know...
