Just read about DSGi making a " advanced handset " for the mobile market to go out to curry retail and digital stores for xmas...
has anyone heard anything more about these phones? reviews.. etc?
DSGi procures advanced new mobile handset deal
DSG International has signed an agreement with Israeli mobile phone designer Emblaze for an exclusive UK handset to be launched this Christmas. The new handset, Touch 7, will initially be available exclusively through Currys and Currys.digital stores from Christmas 2006, and then nationwide through multiple retailers. The handset will feature multimedia functions specifically customised with Emblaze technology to provide state of the art music on the go for a target audience of 16 - 24 year olds. Among other features, the Touch 7 will provide a package of;1.3 megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth, MP3 and MPEG4 video playback. It will also come with a music player and an external memory slot. The phone will retail at £59.99 including £10 airtime. Emblaze Mobile will be shipping the first 10,000 units to DSGi this week with further deliveries to follow over the next few months. Jon Lyngra, head of trading and communications, at DSGi said: “The Emblaze Touch 7 represents everything that customers have come to expect from Currys – the latest technology at exceptional value for money. Working with Emblaze Mobile has enabled us to add depth and choice to the range of consumer mobile handsets we can offer our customers.”

oh i dont work for them lol far from it, i work for the computer games industry, just thought i would ask since i dont know nothing about emblaze or of its products

sorry to bring back a old topic but just did a search for this emblaze phone before creating a new topic.
my sister bought a pink version and its alot like the samsung range of slider phones. really nice phone and the pink version is sold out everywhere at the moment.
the black version is still available and i ordered myself one for 47 quid using a discount code. may not be the best phone in the world but the design is really nice and the features in the phone are great for the price tag its selling for.
