I'm thinking of getting one to bring to the gym - it's small, it clips on (the new ones), it's brainless - dock it down and you're a go, etc, etc. But I'm interested to hear first from those who've had it. What problems have you had? Do they suddenly just die down for no reason? And also, how well does the display-less premise go with you? Did you just wish for a Nano or some other player with at least a one-liner? tia

I've had mine since the day they came out and its brilliant. I've already got a 40gb iPod photo, but wanted a shuffle just for listening to in my lunch hour.
I can't fault it. Had no problems at all. Battery life is excellent. It holds plenty of tunes - more than enough for lunch hour listening for a couple of weeks.
It's tiny, far more convenient than the full-size iPod for lunch hour usage. It's so small you don't even realise you've got it.
I don't miss a screen at all - all I want is to shove the earphones in, press play and off I go. If I don't want to listen to a particular track I just skip to the next one.
I've set-up iTunes to automatically fill the shuffle with a random selection of my favourite tunes from the 4500 on my Mac - so I know its almost always going to be playing something I want to listen to.
I think its great. Get one!

thanks JoolsG4 that was helpful
so zero problems at all since day one? i'm afraid, due to the small size it might just stop working out of the blue and I'll have to get another one. at this price point it's giving me an eerily disposable feeling
