> K800i to M600i O2 switcheroo (via eBay)

Hi all,
It's time to upgrade my much loved P910i to something a bit newer... I'm currently on Orange (UK), but it doesn't work in my new flat, the only network that does is O2 (and possibly 3/Virgin). I therefore want to switch to O2, but the only phone I'm really interested in getting is the M600i... I looked into the BlackBerry Pearl, but it doesn't have 3G and therefore isn't much better than my P910i. I went to the new Sony Ericsson Store on High Street Kensington today and played with the M600i and I quite like it...
Anyway, the problem is that O2 don't offer the M600i, so my plan is to get a Silver K800i Bond Edition from O2 and sell it on eBay for £260+ given current prices and buy a SIM free M600i, with the added benefit of not having operator branded firmware (I hear Vodafone ruined their M600i through poor custom firmware!).
Can anyone tell me if there are any potential problems with doing this? I'm guessing that the K800i will come with a 3G SIM (which I believe is different from a 2.5G one), and the 3G SIM with the K800i will then work fine in the M600i. Also, do O2 still keep their contract phones unlocked like they used to, if not, is it easy to unlock a K800i before it goes on eBay?
Any advice greatly appreciated!
