I am trying to synchronize outlook with the T68i over a serial cable but outlook cannot find the mobile device while trying to establish the connection. I tried with several softwareversions but none of them seems to work.
Does anyone know which version supports the serial cable, or any hints to make it work?

Tried to go back with it where you bought it and let them check it out?

yeah, it's an original cable from Ericsson. The strange thing is that it works on some PC's, and on others it doesn't. After re-installing the Software it works sometimes, but I just don't see why it works on some machines and on others it doesn't!

I found out that the problem doesn't occur on my t68m(i) with R5D007. On the t68i with R2B025 it only works about 3 times from 10, but with a little workaround it works about 90%: press the C-button when you try to sync so the display is on. When the display is on it works flawlessly. As I heard this is a bug in some Ericsson phones that it closes the COM of the phone when it is in "sleep-mode" (the watch on t68).
So there are two solutions for this problem imo: update the phone to the latest firmware or be sure that the display is lit when you try to sync.
Cheers Dave

For me it worked fine with XP, ComSuite and XTNDconnect... let xp find the phone first, you maybe have to book the comport for your phone in the PhoneMonitor
