Hi everybody,
can u use k800/k790 as an external storage drive (usb mass....) without having to install the drivers that usually come in a cd with the phone (like w800, k750 and etc) ? Does windows alone (or mac os x) reconigze k800 automatically as a usb drive?

thx

All USB devices need a driver, unless windows has a standard one. This is unlikely for non microsoft devices. So yes you need a driver for it.

The K800i can be used as a mass storage device with Windows XP without the need for drivers. I know as I have done it on a friends computer which had never had any phone connected to it or drivers installed. Whenyou connect the phone to the computer the phone will ask what mode you want. When you select storage device it will turn the phone off and put it into storage mode. When in this mode no calls can be made or received.

On the note of Mac OS X - how is it possible to access the M2?

So far I've only been able to access the phone memory when connecting the USB cable, and not the memory stick.

I'm trying to sync my music and photos with the OS.

I'm sure there's a few clever folks out there who have this nutted out - please share your wisdom! Cheers!

EDIT: Oddly, now when I plug it in, it mounts correctly - bizarre! But if anyone can recommend some good syncing tools, that wuld be rgeat, currently looking into iTuneMyWalkman, however was hoping for a bluetooth alternative, possibly an app to sync iphoto via bluetooth.
