I am on the look out for the k790a and I want to know if there are any warrantys through Sony Ericsson. I was told on another forum that once you buy a Sony Ericsson phone (new) you get a one year warranty...is this true?

Sony Ericsson describe their warranty in each of their user guides which are downloadable in PDF format from their support site. You can get the K790a user guide from
here
The warranty is always 12 months and only within the country of purchase. If you buy within EU then the warranty is EU-wide.

phones now come with a 2 year warrenty. My K800i is 2 years.

i got my k800i in august from MediaMarkt, Germany and i got 24 months warranty
(it ain't a k790 but as close as you can get)
