> w800i camera returning to menu screen

Hi, I have had my w800 for over a year now and never needed to update anything. (wouldnt know how)
The problem is that when i try to take a photo it focuses and makes the shutter sound but goes back to the main menu without taking the photo, i have tried taking videos which work fine. so im assuming its some form of software fault. I have checked i have space left on the memory card which i do and i also tried saving to the phone memory too which still didnt work. I have had friends with the same problem and they said it went away after a couple more photos but my problem has now persisted for weeks. I apologise if this topic has already been covered but i did search for about 40 minutes on this forum and have found no similar problem.
im not too familiar with this forum or the way online updates for phones can be utilized so if someone does suggest a software update could you please help me with a link.
I really hope someone has a similar problem or can help thanks in advance.

welcome to ESATO, mate. have you tried a master reset? if this won't work try an update with SEUS.
