Hey guys, new to the forum and just got a new W950i bit of a noob when it comes to symbian phones and I have a few questions which I have not been able to find the answers for so I hope you can help.
There doesnt seem to be much support for this phone, most likely because its new and not many people have it, or i'm just not looking in the right places but what i'm looking for are some applications that will run on it. Will applications made for the other SE phones work on this one, or will I have to wait for them to be specifically released for this phone, also I cannot for the life of me install the themes or find the folder where they should be installed, I have downloaded a few and they are in a .utz format and when I browse through file manager I cannot find a theme extension and the application installer doesn't recognise theme. Any help/ hints and tips in regards to this phone will be really appreciated guys, thanks for looking.
Jim

Hi Guys,
Hopefully I've got this right: The w950i uses Symbian 9.1 OS with the UIQv3 interface. (UIQ3 is the thing to look for for applications and games). The P990 and M600 also use this and applications should work on all three. Unfortunately its not backwards compatible so UIQ apps for P910 et al won't work. UIQ3 apps usually come as .sis files to be installed on the phone. Most of the Java apps/games *should* work but aren't likely to be tailored for the touchscreen interface (I've not tried many java programs yet so can't say with much authority on this).
Have a look at my-symbian.com and click UIQ 3.0 top centre. There's quite a few freeware programs. If you look in the forums there you'll also find PicoDriveN which is a Megadrive/Genesis emulator which is rather funky! There's a thread on here about it too somewhere.
Hope that helps.
