I am thinking of asking for the following Sat Nav reciever for Christmas. Is it any good:

http://l8shop.net/products/Wayfinder-GPS-Unit.aspx

I am going to try and do sat nav on the cheap with my new P990. Can someone tell me the free sat nav software name as well. I know there is one but have forgotten what it's called, otherwise what's a decent cheap one?
Also do I need to subscribe to just use the sat nav? Or is this for when you want traffic updates etc?

Many thanks guy's.

Its www.nav4all.com .

I found the BT 77, its £39.99 in most places, http://www.discountsatnav.co.[....]php?act=viewProd&productId=50.

How did you get the copy of TOMTOM to work?

Dom

I love my Wayfinder (I have had it on P900, Motorola V3x and now my M600) its great and always upto date.
You can even subscribe to traffic reports whic will re-route you around problem areas.

I have the Wayfinder GPS BT Unit and it works really well.

Ive just ordered a BlueNEXT gps reciever

Nav4All is completely free until 2008(apart from the cost of GPRS to download the maps which is around 15kb per hour of driving, about 3p on O2)! and after that itl be really cheap.

Currently trialing the Orange 6.0.34 package, which dowloads the entire route first, that way i can download the route within a hotspot for free, i also like it because it uses very little memory.

Wayfinder works fine aswell on P990 but it is wanting to connect to internet very often & that annoys me as i only want to use hotspots. although it does show hotspots.

I use the Holox BT-321 32 channel GPS which was £31 off ebay, came in 2 days.

However i will be trying a Tomtom copy very soon, hopfully before the free Orange package trial finishes as i prob wont pay £100 for that, the female voice is already starting to get me down.
