Ok, I've always been under the impression that touching the screen with your fingers or thumb is bad for the touchscreen. Bad for accuracy, bad if you press to hard. But if you use it lightly and can use it accurately, is there any reason why you shouldnt touch the screen? One handed operation is impossible without touching the screen. Maybe with a screen protector.
Im just trying to get a general idea so as many uiq users as possible, do you use your finger or thumb on the touchscreen?
Cheers.

Sounds good, because this UI is too difficult to use without using your fingers or thumb on the screen and too fun not to touch what you want to select. Have you had part of the screen become less responsive?
So why do most people use the pen even to move through the menus?

That's the beauty of the touch screen, use it as you like. Pen or fingers, both need human touch sense:)

I haven't used the pen for like 4 months. I use my thumb and fingers to tap the screen.

Not always with the fingers cuz some r too small, like links and page numbers in this forum for example. But I use it less than on the P910i and that's cuz of the keypad layout.

I find my nail is good for tapping small things, and for everything else i use a finger when i can't be bothered to get the pen out!
No scratches!
