> W810 needs reboot to access Internet, why?

Every once in a while, anyway. Attempting to access the Web causes the phone to "hang" briefly (without the globe icon up top), followed by the "Communication Error" pop-up. A reboot sorts this out, so it's obviously not a problem of the Internet settings (which I received OTA from
anyway).
The question is, why is the reboot needed in the first place? Do these newer
phones need more frequent power-cycling?

The newer phones do not need to be restarted more frequently, so in my opinion the problem is in your phone. More previous: in the Internet Settings. You mentioned that you've downloaded the settings from the main Sony Ericsson Web Site. Try deleting them and activate the internet on your phone using the settings your operator gives. They are better for me.

I've had the same problems with my w810i. It doesn't happen too often but it HAS happened a few times.
Of course now my phone crashed and I'm waiting on a Wotan credit so I can re-flash it (the SEUS and OTA updates won't re-install everything). Speaking of which, why the hell does it take Wotan so long to reply to anything?

I find with mine I often don't get a globe until I reboot - basically it just doesn't connect, no errors etc. Power off and on, then it works again. Go figure
