Is it just me, or did SE roll over and go to sleep after the k800i? I know we can't just expect to see 4 and 5mp phones come flying out but I would have at least expected to see more 3.2mp variants by now in different sizes and shapes.
I would love to see a 3.2 mp with better optics and improved video (at least 320x240, but the more the merrier!) at the least. Usually I always have something to look forward to, but SE (and even the other companies) have nothing on the table lately!

The K800 is their flagship model, releasing too many variants of it takes away from that. There is also the fact that SE aren't as big as some other manufacturers so releasing variants of certain handsets may not be prudent. Be patient and you shall see your 5 MP cameraphone.

Then wait. There will be a lot of new SE handsets next year by the looks of things, one of them may take your fancy.

Be patient, and we'll see what SE's been holding back on
for next year.
We'll get QVGA next year.

@nokevin
Sorry, I meant QVGA (320x240) video recording.

If we are lucky. I am expecting nothing less than 15fps recording and at least 30fps playback.
If this doesn't appear on some mid-range phones - like the K800i replacement - there will be uproar.

I'm not going to raise my hopes too high to avoid disappointment. I'm still reeling from those ugly designs of Ai and siblings. I know people here preach patience until the handsets are out based on the poor picture quality but I've seen enough to know that I HATE the design of those phones. They are also standard in the features department. Nothing to make me look forward to better phones next year.

But the specs haven't been confirmed yet!
The rumoured specs of Ai, the slimmest/smallest

ever, are HSDPA and 3G which, when you take into account that just this time last year the smallest 3G phone we had was the K600i, is quite an achievement.
That must count for something....

goldenface- HSDPA and 3G are nice on that model but then that's the progression of technology- filtering of previously high end features down to low end products. All I'll do is wait for a w44s kind of phone, maybe a high end phone with high end specs. Just hope it's not another disappointing year for SE in terms of innovation.

this time of year is always quite for new phones, manafacters are tryin to make enough handsets for christmas, new handsets come in after jan sales normally.
looking forward to next years releases. mainly the k800i replacement.finguers crossed for a 5MP maybe even optical zoom? would be nice with a camera of that size! id gladly pay the bit extra in price and size for that. saves owning a compact camera AND a DSLR
