If you do a firmware update via SEUS to the K800 or any other SE phone, all the personal data is getting deleted or stays as it is???

Its not like smartphones that you need to do a backup before firmware update right?

quick answer

if you update via SEUS you don't lose anything (normally) but if you use 3rd party updates like wotan etc then you do lose everything.

the except to this is the SE symbian phones which also lose their data when updated via SEUS

I suggest you to backup ALL your data (you can do it with My Phone Explorer) although there is not loss of data. What do you know, sometimes unexpected things happen .
