Hi. I'm about to play a little with my phone as I am going to change it, but I don't want to get it killed all the time. I'm going to use Gflash to apply some patches, different firmware and etc... so the question is: If I kill the phone, can Gflash get it alive again without paying for anything or not. Because I don't want to spend money on my w800 any more.

One more question. I saw a patch for W800 on Topsoby which says that make your phone record video in MP4 format. If you apply that patch, do you get better framerate or it's the same?

It depends on your defination of kill. Mostly wrongly flashed firmware will be okay but the EROM and gdfs is a no no if you F*ck something up there. Then you have to pay for a service cable.
The mp4 is useless. Ignore that and look at the rest of the patches. I have nearly all the released patches installed and the phone works much better.
To increase framerate ; use a newer camera driver or something. Oh yeah; when it comes to applying patches ; use far manager instead. THe vkp engine is way better and it allows access to the fs which is needed for some patches.

i've modified my phone, but haven't added patches because i've been a little scared. is this too risky or is as simple as change the camdriver?

Its very simple. Just make sure you have the right version of the patch, start Far and go to the flash folder. Just copy the vkp file over and start patching. Takes less than a minute

. If something does go wrong ; you can try removing the patch or reflashing the main firmware (same firmware which what was on there but dont flash the FS) which will restore your phone to pre-patch goodness without loosing data. Also for camdrivers, menu's and layouts, the relocation patches are very useful. These patches change the location to other so you can install camdrivers with the sony ericsson file manager or myphoneexplorer.

Ok I found one sony ericsson scruiser cable on
www.gsmliberty.com which gives options to get the cable in my country too. So I know if I buy that cable I'll be able to arise every SE from the dead, but the problem is that I don't want to be cheated, so my question is: Is GSMliberty safe for shopping so I can give them my credit card number or should I look for another place to buy the cable?
Thanks
