Don't think you got a rogue moulding. Look at the Tail and Siandy for example. Those guys too has serious problems with the phone. I just wander how is it that certain devices work so nice and others are so bad. Ok there is singapore version etc but even some guys with the same version got totaly different result.

Again, think the P990 is made from 2 different factories. While some countries may sell both version as some dealer may do parrellel import.

Seems that the battery cover becomes weaker from repeated openings for removing and reinserting the battery and SIM card for SEUS . . .
You can reduce the creaking by keeping a folded piece of paper between the battery and the cover.

Where and when are the p990i's problems going to end. Seems like there's a new problem every waking moment. This is the company's flagship and it shouldn't have so many serious complaints.

Thanks for the tip, but should we rea\\lly be forced to do this on a what is supposedly a "flag ship" device, I really do not have much enthusiasm for the P990 any more

are simply not keen to improve their build quality or properly beta test there own products. I have friends at a fairly high level in Nokia Finland and the stuff I have seen from them is much better built, seems they actualy listened to their customers!
