i tried connecting my p990 to my comp in my phone mode, it said it was installed and ready to use etc etc.... That was in phone mode, but after that, my comp didnt recognise my phone at all when i connected it via usb.

So i held c and connected, and my comp restarted

So then i changed to file transfer mode, and my computer restarted, this is really frustrating, i want to put some things on my phone, but i cant obviously

some one help me please?

That is messed up. I had some trouble with my P900 and old win98se pc too. Now to get rid of all those problems (and sidestep SE's poor software), that occur random and reoccur at will I installed a memory card reader in my new pc. Now I transfer files via bluetooth or the cardcreader. This is bullet proof and will make you happy in the long run.

I learnt to live with it - it only does this on my main PC and only through USB connection. I now use bluetooth as everything I tried was useless...

im running win xp, though its not a 'genuine' microsoft copy.... But its working fine now, so thanks to all who replied...
