Hi!

I have RTFM-ed and still cannot get the conversion application to work

For example. I want to convert British pounds to Yen .. I try this as an example...

1 British Pound = 226.540 Japanese Yen
So now I want to find out how much 350 pounds is...

But all I can see is 1 BGP = 0 JPY.

Often the application crashes with the error message

Application - Converter
Reason code - ETEXT
Reason Number - 12

After it crashes and I exit it, thj keyboard icon stays visible at the top of the screen.

If I try to input the exchange rate, all I see is USD - JPY or USD to GBP

I want GBP - JPY..

Any help appreciated !

that's not the point...

There is an application in the W950i for conversions but I cannot get it to work..

So what I hope is someone with a W950i can try out the currecny conversion for me and see if they can get it to work.

I can do Yen to Pounds in my head, no problem, but I want to setup

Yen Pounds, Pounds Yen,
Yuan Pounds, Pounds Yuan,
Yuan Yen, Pounds Yen,

etc...

If anyone can get theirs to work, please tell me how they did it..

On my w950i converter you select which currency "from" and "to" from the drop downs. "More" at the bottom gives you options to add other currencies and put the exchange rates in. The exchange rates seem to be related to USD $ so put the rates in. If all the rates have been entered so there aren't any = 0 I figure it should work.

I've just put in the rates as listed on xe.com and done GBP to JPY on my phone and £350 GBP = 79695.4141 JPY.

ofiaich glad you sussed it. For RSS feeds an alternative you may want to look at is via Mobipockets (www.mobipocket.com). Its an eBook reader, the UIQ3 reader is now free as is the creator and reader apps for the PC. As well as syncing eBooks you buy you can also add RSS feeds to the PC Reader program which will download the recent messages and body text, wrap it up in a little eBook and update the details onto your phone for offline reading. Obviously how often you usually connect your phone to your PC determines how useful this may be.

Thanks very much for that! I

saved quite a few documents, etc, including business/friends contacts in Japan, and the Japanese shows in the ebook that I created !

Excellent ! Thanks very much for your help and advice !
