Another reminder not to text message or send e-mail while driving. A 71-year-old woman will get $4.1 million in settlement because a van driver last year ran a red light and crashed into her while he was looking down at his BlackBerry.

That's sucks, I got rear-ended at a stop light last year by a guy talking on his phone and not paying attention and I didn't get squat.

I dont get what the blackberry part had anything to do with it. What if he wasn't using his blackberry and just mistakenly ran a red light and hit her. Would she still be getting 4 million dollars? Why does the blackberry part get her 4 million dollars?
