> HTC TyTN = crap at music!
Bookmark topic
Well a couple of months ago I defected from Sony Ericsson.... to the dark side, the TyTn and Windows Mobile 5.
At the time I thought the TYTN was almost a miracle.
Living with Windows has been really good, very comprehensive software, relativly easily used but one thing thta I thought I would make redundant was my iPod. I thought that the Tytn and it's Windows Media Player would see my iPod left gathering dust. How wrong I was!!!! The windows media and particularly the Tytn is utter rubbish what it come to music It's just crap. The software looses library and takes forever to update. Why would they use a micro SD with a max capacity at the moment of 2Gb? And lest not mention the earphones with a bespoke mini USB connector. Sorry folks... I was wrong the TyTN is no where near as good as the SE when it comes to Music and Media!!!
TYTN = excellent connectivity and great functions but crap at music.

Windows pda phones generally dont excel when it comes to (a).the camera and (b).music quality ,but at everything else they generally beat the crap out of all other phones

I have to disagree with that. I'm very happy with my tytn and it's music playback. I normally use the Nokia HS-12W stereo bluetooth headphones and the sound quality is briliant. If the battery runs out on that, then I use the normal headphones and they are even louder and better quality. As for problems with WMP and sd cards, well, I used to get that, but now, I dont have those problems at all.

i'm with soulframe.
I use my tytn with MS voice commander and a 2gb card. With the headphones on, i say what band, track, album or genre that i want to listen to and hey presto- it comes on. Brilliant!
Admittedly, the mini usb socket problem is a bummer, still no sign of an adaptor. Big oversight from HTC.

ebay? Pretty sure the mini-usb connector's used on moto razr series phones (v3/l6/l7) so probably quite easy to come by.

expansys.co.uk have the said adaptor. it works ok but it is quite big and looks like a tumour on thr Tytn. the phone is already big and bulky. this just adds bulk. I used mine in the gym and was so embarrassed I stopped using it and went back to my ipod. just looks like a brick compared to my ipod!!!!
