my new p990 came with "standard batter, BST.33/950amh" Just wondering if there is a higher capacity battery for this phone?

Yes there is, the BST-34 has a higher capacity than the BST-33. However there are quite a few threads already on this topix

I’ve been looking up other sites and saw that the “BST-34 is not being released. What will be released is the BST-40 which should hopefully be available in the middle of December” Anyone else heard anything about this? (Apologies if this is being covered in other threads, I did a search but couldn’t find it)

In the beginning this battery was touted as the battery that would be released with the P990, but then SE put in a lower capacity batt. The batt of my P900 has even a capacity of 1260mh

the BST-33 is crap! if used max 2-3h on my P990
have ordered and paid for a BST-34, still no delivery date thought....
is there really a BST-40 coming up? what's the capacity compared to 33 and 34?
