> V800 open/close switch

My V800 won't light up the main display when i open my phone up. I have to press a key for it to light up. Then, if I close it again, the main display won't go dark again. Also, the smaller display won't light up.
I was thinking there could be a problem with a switch (if there is one) for detecting the phones open/close state, so I have picked my phone apart but I can't seem to find any such switch.
Does anyone have any helpful advice?

It uses a magnet and reed switch. if you put a magnet over the keypad area it should light up the small display.
