Seasons greetings everyone,
Just updated my D750i with SEUS and guess what, the MP3 player has gone all crappy. Sounds familliar? The music I have on the phone doesn't sound good, no bass. I guess this is the firmware, so I got in touch with SE and they advised me to send the phone off for repair and a general check.
What are other peoples experiences?
Is it better to go to third parties such as Woton or Davinci?
look fwd to replies

its a branded fw, so it might have some bugs. i would go for the w800 fw, works perfect in d750, got myself too once

Well in my opinion using a different firmware on a different phone which is not the one that the factory made the phone for, is a thing that I wouldn't recommend. But in the case with the D750 (as it is branded phone for T-Mobile), using a different firmware is good idea. You can use K750 or W800 firmware on the D750 without experiencing any big bugs or etc... The things you get are: the GREAT walkman player with fantastic sound quality (the thing you want

), unbranded phone and the rest of the things that make the W800 better than the D750

. So you can update your phone's firmware using SEUS or Gflash to the W800 one. The procedure with Gflash is easier to do, in my opinion. You just download the w800 firmware (suggest you the R1BC002, as it has GREAT sound), the MAIN and the FS files and then put them in the Gflash. The flashing (updating software) procedure is not that hard, so you can give a little search through the forums and I'm sure you will find what are you looking for. When the flashing is done, you will have a GREAT Walkman D750

. To do the same with SEUS, also can be found the HOWTO guide on the forums

, but I prefer the Gflash.
Thanks

Thanks guys, converting the D750 to W800 sounds the best idea so I will check out the Gflash. I know this will invalidate the warranty (which runs out at the end of this month anyway), but will get better phone software. Great!
Will this affect the contract I have with T-Mobile??? (which runs out in June)

this will only affect your warranty. the contract says they allow you to use their services, but if you manage to destroy you phone, thats your problem.
