> P990 automatic key lock problem
Bookmark topic
Hi
I have a P990 without the flip.. and seems to work fine! up to now anyway, only had it a couple of weeks.
I note with the flip off (i took it of on day one) the auto key lock is active, after a short time of inactivity you need to unlock it by sliding the lock key on the side of the phone. In the security/lock settings the auto lock option is un checked! Is there a way of deactivating the lock? or is there something wrong with the phone? i cant seem to turn it off.
Normaly i prefer the lock on as it is, but note now i'm using tomtom navigation it's a pain as the lock activates whilst navigating, the mapping stops but the sound continues to work until i use the lock slider key to resume things.

ok. the auto lock is unchecked but did you uncheck the inactivity lock as well.
Although it's probably nothing to do with it as in that case you would need a kind of code.

hello, you need to go to control panel, screen saver and then uncheck automatic input lock! don't know why its there, but this will sort your problem out!

Thanks ADZ21.. problem solved.
I agree not sure why it's there! but note a good feature where here you can set the timing of the lock activation from 1-30 mins which is good if you need it, though not sure why they did'nt put this under security/locks as there, there is no time option!
