> w810 freezing up help!

Ok about 20 minutes ago I looked at my phone and i notice my screen saver was on but it wasn't moving (its an animated screen saver). So i tried to turn off the phone by pressing/holding the button on top but it didnt turn off. So i took out the batteries and restarted the phone, now it doesnt even go into the main menu! It would show the sony ericsson logo theme at the beginning when I turn it on, then it would flash white a few times and just freeze. Sometimes it would goto the screen where it ask if I want to start it in phone mode or walkman mode, then it flashes white and then the screen goes black.
Sometimes the screen freezes white and sometimes its black. Right now its black and the keys are still glowing orange.
BTW i've had this phone for about a month or two and no problems with it until now.
Please help.

no, i was just messing with the alarm clock, put the phone in my pocket, then i went to do laundry, after about 1-2 mins i took the phone out of my pocket and i saw my screen saver on and frozen.

nope none of that happened, it was working 1-2mins before I saw the freeze. It was in my pocket the whole time.
I tried leaving the battery out of the phone for the whole night yesterday and when I put it back on the phone, it went up like normal, it asked me if I wanted phone or walkman mode, i picked phone mode, then it went into the main screen and did the "searching" thing. A few seconds later it flashed a few times and went black.
I know my battery is fully charged because I charged it yesterday before the problem occured. Could this be a phone defect, or battery?
please help.

I think you have a software problem. A month ago i have a similar problem, i was using my phone, then i pressed the walkman button and the phone just hang. It flashed white and i had to remove the battery. Turned it on again and it was all messed up. I took my phone to the place where i bougth and they flashed it. Its ok now

i did have a similar problem, my w810 is vodafone (switzerland) and i understand there is no update for vodafone soft - is that correct?
