I registered with mobilelocate .co.uk about a month ago for the trial period. I tried to use the service but it did not work so I did'nt bother using it again, I was aware I had to cancel the the subscription before the trial was going to be over but I kept being lazy.
On the actuall website it says from £1.30 a month so I thought monthly subscription would hardly be any cost to worry about, I might use the service later on. Now I have recieved an invoice of £176.19 and I have no clue what to do.
I called the bank, they've said its a switch payment therefore it cant be cancelled. I've been trying to call the company but there is no reply. I've been working hard recently to save up some money for a car and this isnt going to help.

Really helpful post that, cheers
Where on earth did they come to the amount of £176?

This is why you need to cancel these things ASAP. I'd keep trying to get hold of them and query this, though I have a feeling they'll just say 'you should have cancelled the service, can't do anything about it' I'm afraid!

I cancelled the subscription as soon as i saw the invoice. Cancellation was done online. I've read the terms and conditions now (I know its a little late but nevertheless). It says after the trial period I could cancel my subscription and I will be charged £76 cancellation fee, well that way I still save £100!
But there is no response when I try to call them. It seems their website hasnt been updated since 2004 as the copyrights says 2004 next to it and the phoneline might not be in use too..
I would like to get atleast those £100 back but I wonder how if theres not going to be any response on the phone.

I just looked at the site. In the prices it says it costs £14.60 a month covering 10 mobiles. It is charged annually so you would get charged 12x£4.60.
