Hello all!
Finally getting tired of my tired W900i, and was sick to death with Voda's service ages ago - so i'm on the lookout for a new mobile.
The 3 i've whittled it down to are as follows:
K800i
W950i
Nokia N93 (I know, I know, Boooo! Hiss!)
Now, what I need is a good media player, with plenty of storage, the phone needs to be able to browse the web with full HTML compatibility. Optional is a good camera and screen.
Now my dad has just got a K800i, and i'm really impressed with the camera on it, the xenon flash is a godsend and makes my LED light on my W900i seem like an antique fit for a museum. Unfortunately the video on this mobile isn't even up to scratch to my old W900i, and this is what I do mostly while out in the town with the lads, so where as it'd be great for pictures, the video will let me down. Has anyone with a K800i ever been let down by the video quality? Or is it accepteble?
Recently i've had a little demo of the Nokia N93 at my local Carphone Warehouse, and wow what a phone, i'm not bothered by the size as my W900i is almost as big (Even though it doesn't look it) but the picture quality and video quality is amazing! I just love everything about it, except it hasn't got a xenon flash like the K800i, so all those mega pixels are wasted in anything but good light, right? Does the N93's camera give good shots in near dark - say a nightclub as well as in the daytime?
And then onto the W950i, which i just love, i've had a play around with it and hardware wise it is a true succesor to my W900i, it's just the lack of a camera really kills it for me, has anyone that has one really missed the camera? Or do you get used to it?
Please any help would be appreciated, i've managed to narrow it down to these 3 phones but each one has there strentghs and weaknesses which make it impossible for me to make a decision by myself.
Also would could be considered it that my current contract doesn't run out till june, so should i wait for anything else that might be coming out of the pipeline? I've heard of the Nokia N95 with a 5mp camera but from what i can gather that also hasn't got a Xenon flash, so is there a point for it?

Based on your needs, I would advice you to get the W950, and get a cheap, dedicated Digital camera. That way, you get a great phone, good video quality and a proper flash.
You're right about the megapixels going to waste - 50% percent of the time, the lightigng is not sufficient for a camera.

Well, when i switched from W800 to N71, i got used to "not" using the camera pretty quickly.
Get the N93, its a real powerhouse. Its got everything you can imagine, its beautiful and extremely durable, something not assosiated with SE(durability).
Dont get me wrong, W950 would be better than N93 if it had a camera, but for a phone costing 600$, there should be a camera no matter what.
K800 isnt even in the competition.

I love my K790, but if you want a real powerhouse you should get the N93. What really kills it for me is the battery life which I've heard is terrible (1 day on normal use). And I don't need a sluggish smart phone anyway.
I still can't get over the W950's lack of camera, but a 4GB hard drive is nice.
And the K800's just perfectly balanced.
So:
If you want a nice balance between features, size and battery life get the K800, if you want a lot of storage capacity get the W950 and if you want a powerhouse that's not really mobile because it has to be plugged into the wall all the time get the Nokia.
Or may I recommend the Nokia N73.
