I wouldn't get to excited as this is old news and on the P990 firmware thread this releasing more Ram version is already being used by a lucky few and whilst it is much quicker it has only released about 2,5-3mb extra Ram and the Ram leaks are still present. So it is hardly the fix you envisage from the statement from SE.

If you check the link this was posted by adnhk on 5/12/06 and in Mobile phone terms that is old news and it was posted @My-Symbian also but you are free to believe what ever you wish as is every one else. Personally I'd rely more on posts from people that actually have the newer firmware and good contacts within SE than anything else but that's just MO.

let's just hope this christmas SE will do wonder for its next p990i fw, as of next year our problem will be ironed out. the guy pasted the letter seemed to be getting the R9 beta release though
