My k700i wont play .aac expansions. I can play .m4a and .mp4 expansions but not .aac. is .aac ment to work on a k700i. I am upgrading to a w800i for christmas and does that support .aac.

I also use xilisoft video converter to convert my files and the tags to the tracks disappear and i cant recover them. This will cause my new w800i to not work. Is there any other .aac and .m4a converter i can try which will retain these tags. Or any software to add tags to these files.

If you rename .aac tot .m4a it should play on the k700.
MP4 (=aac, m4a etc) tags are not read by the k700, only mp3-tags.

thank you!!!!
but when i update to my new w800i on christmas day!! i will need a converter that preserves the id tags or a peace of software that can add the tags to the xilisoft files. Because i think that the w800 organises its files using the tags. I only use .m4a and .mp4 so i need a converter or tag editor to use these files.

Thank you.

I use iTunes to convert my music to .aac and it works really well. I borrowed the disc along from a friend along with the serial number for his iPod to convert my music.
