Browsing various websites i found a link to this japanese site, which i found very interesting. It boasts(not directly) that it can convert and online Flash video(FLV) to the following formats:

This is what ive been looking for all the hours of sleep i could have saved... from my little dabble on the site, there are a few bugs in it still but all in all a big step forward...

I used this(someone posted the link in the youtube mobile topic)to convert an ad to 3gp from youtube and i used it to give me an mp3 version too. Works great.

I use Vixy.net & Keepvid to download from Youtube. Vixy.net works well for me.
