I have a k800i, i was wondering if i should update it, using SEUS the only thing is if i update it to the latest firmware will this affect it the phone being unlocked (network) in the future? Same with the psp if u update u cant do certain things *cough*homebrew*cough*...

Well the homebrew issue towards the psp wasn't intended by sony to exsist as a feature. Thats why it was removed. But on the otherhand the k800i's current features will remain on the system as they were intended to be included. I suggest you go along and update you k800i's firmware to remove bugs.
BTW I also noticed the search module for this version of phpbb on esato is very inaccurate. I don't recommend using it as it leaves you with more un-wanted results.

You should update it. it will squash some nasty bugs. and about the search, I agree that the search in this forum is a real pain in the but, maybe an engine update?

Well you should read the K800 Firmware Overwiev thread here on Esato first. Before you apply any firmware update on your phone, make sure which firmware you currently use, and which are it's bug and do you really need that bugs fixed. Sometimes the new firmwares have solved the old bugs, but cause new ones which could be much much vorse than the previous. Just read this post, I think you'll find everything you want:
