The app that comes with the phone seems to have a limited number of lines which are available to use. I need the app to store quite a large list so it isnt any good. Any other suggestions?

MobyExplorer can create and edit .txt files, but there is a (small - some KBs) size limit on the .txt files.

The default limit for Moby Explorer's editor is quite small, but it can be increased from the text editor settings to 50 KB (for my k750).
There is a program called Text Editor (I think I found it from getjar.com, haven't tested it though), that also seems quite good (and free).

I hope someone comes up with a heavy-duty text editor for JSR-75 phones, something like Orneta Notepad for WM or Notepad for Nokia S60 -- With adjustable font, maximized screen usage, search/replace etc. I wish Moby would do it, they have other amazing J2ME products already.
The MobyExplorer text editor is really for short txt files only... and with the SE default big font + small edit screen for Java, we can view only 3 lines at a time while editing

Also 50kb max only.
It's exciting to hear @Aware's reports on the Java improvements that SE does (in the T650 thread) and all we need now are some more good apps.
