Hi all,
I was having some sofware issues and after a discussion at this forum, i decided to make a fw upgrade.. I never thought the SEUS is going to be so hectic.. it got stuck in the middle of the software download process, and now it even wont connect to the server,
Whats worse is that my phone is dead, when i turn my phone on, a white screen shows up and it starts flickering..
Please help

You guys just don't learn. For many ppl it works, but for a few it leaves their phones in an unoperable state. I would only risk it if I live near a service center and have a backup. Don't fix it if it is not broken.

You could try a master reset and start from the beginning.

Does any one know abt the p990 generic update 2 file size?
i've been downloading for 2 hrs and its just 20% of the download?
and i guess p910 was much simpler as we cud save the file to the disk before making an update..
What do u guys have to say?
Cheers

the p990i firmware is 75mb it only takes about 10 minutes to download on a 1mbps broadband connection and another 15 min to upload to the phone if you have a pentium 4 processor and 1gb ram. I have never encountered a problem during the update process on any of my phones (p900,p910,m600,p990) BUT I WOULD NEVER TRY TO UPDATE IF I HAD A DIALUP CONNECTION IT WOULD TAKE AGES TO COMPLETE and second and most important read this before updating

ahmer31, Just re-do the update process over again. Some how your update was never complete. Mine did the same thing. I was updating my phone during a thunderstorm.. and yep you guess it my power went out during my update and it interupted my update b/c my comuputer shut down. So when I looked at my phone it was flickering like you stated. All I did was start back over from #1 on the download methods and my phone updated correctly in about 15 mins and my p990 worked fine with the the new software. So do it all over again. Hope it helps.
