got this set up the other day, everything was working fine for a few hours, but when i went to connect again a short while after, it stopped working.

It still connects to the home network, but doesnt load any thing. It just keeps saying cannot "locate or connect to server" ( cant member which one it says lol) No websites or msn etc load.....

any ideas?

I got that message once or twice and wasn't able to browse internet. All I did is to disable wifi on the phone and then restarted the router itself ( literally unplug/plug). After that I enabled wifi again and everything worked perfectly. I believe it was something with router not phone.

Restarting phone/router/wifi on phone is your best option.

and people complain when they have to restart the P990.
Look around you. ALL other devices have to be restarted to work.
It's a FEATURE, people !!!!

try set a fixed IP address instead let the router assign it for you via DHCP.

don't forget to set the correct DNS address, too
