Hi there...

I am looking to hopefully boost my computer a tad with some more RAM. I have just bought a 1GB stick to add to my current 1.5GB from Ebay and I was wondering what kind of difference I can look forward to to, what will 2.5GB actually do? A big noticeble difference from 1.5GB or not?

Thanks

Not a huge difference is OS like win xp but itll give a very good difference if you are using win vista..

Ok thanks, I'm using XP.

Really I'm hoping that it will improve my gaming experience slightly, but quicker general computer processing and loading etc would be nice as well.

sorry to invade your thread but i could do with this help as well.
i am hoping to buy a laptop sometime soon after xmas and was thinking fo gettin either this:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/103549

the only problem with that one is that it does not have much hard drive space, whereas this one is 512mb ram and has 60gb:

would there be anyway to upgrade the RAM on the 2nd one to say 1gb or a little bit below tht so that it could run vista?
and would that be pricey?
thanks

You can I believe upgrade a laptops ram yes. Also, 40GB is enough I would say unless your doing something that requires masses of memory...
