Before the Christmas and other holiday seasons, the Israeli authorities issue a general terrorism threat advisory for the benefit of Israeli tourists traveling abroad. In the past, such advisories used to cover places such as Turkey and Egypt. The pre-Christmas advisory issued this year has covered Goa too. The advisory has received more than the normal attention because it has characterised the threat as "concrete" and identified Al Qaeda as a possible source of the threat.
And i was planning to go there

Yeh i heard about this threat last week,i'm taking it with a pinch of salt thought,shouldn't let these kinds of things rule our lives.
Knowing the History of Israeli i wouldn't be surprised if they were planning to do this one themselves and blame the so called Terrorists!
But nevertheless its better to be safe than sorry and stay away from Goa, Israeli intelligence is one of the Sharpest in the world and i would take there Warnings very seriously!

GOA is indeed very beautiful! ....I want to go there myself but i got a Memo from Bush himself this week telling me to stay away as he had some plans there over the holiday season!
Haven't heard or seen much from Al-Qaida lately,so be interesting see what happens here,i do hope nothing happens though and this is all just rumours!

All Resorts and Hotels get booked up in this period.
its famous because of its beaches, night life, casinos, pubs, adventure sports, discos, buying properties, etc etc...
about buying properties... well you can buy an island in Goa, call it your own and just pay 23 crores INR(2705883 pounds) for it.
Indian Celebs like Vijay Mallya, Malini Ramnani, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Priya Paul, Leander Paes, Prannoy Roy and many others are just a few of those who own a piece of Goa.
Goa has been a tourist attraction coz of its natural wealth, rich and varied culture, tranquility, hospitable and fun loving people...
thats a bit about Goa.
hence many tourists visit Goa during Christmas and New Year and it can be an easy target...
even the cellular networks get jammed over there during New Year lol
but again the threat thingy could be a rumour too.
