My P990i, after over a day of being up, plus with extensive (not too heavy though) usage, will be unable to do simple functions, like open up messages due to "Not enough memory". Often it also reboots to "Improve performance".

Nothing has been installed except EMO and both internal and external memory has plenty of space.

Has anyone else seen this issue? I've upgraded the firmware, but it's still doing it. Any suggestions?

When will it be clear to all, this is NOT storage memory, it's RAM!

You open too many apps, the system should start closing some to free up some RAM for other apps. Symbian 9 is still poor at RAM management, even on Nokias! Hopefuly, next FW upgrades will make this less pronounced.

Fo now, get Something like Swiss Manager, LEARN how to use it smartly, and it will make those restarts a thing of the past. Almost.

@Symbiatico
Whilst i agree that Symbian 9.1 is more Ram hungry then previous versions the problem is with UIQ3 not just Symbian 9.1. As with my S60 3rd Edition i can regain virtually all of my Ram on closing apps and not have Ram leaks that require rebooting to reclaim Ram. It may not be perfect as to the level of multitasking but it is very stable with very little Ram management required. Here are 2 pictures showing average Ram and with multiple apps open and running.
