> Problem on Charging M600i
Bookmark topic
I don't know if it has already been discussssed here. I just got my m600i, while charging the phone i noticed that the lcd and keypad light does not turn off when charging. I tried to wait for a few minutes and yet the light of the lcd and keypad just remain dimmed:(. Is there a way to turn off the keypad and lcd lights when charging the phone:(?
Or is this normal to M600i users?

from what i understand, that's normal for the M600. the alternative is to charge it with the phone powered on. then the screen will black out after a while.

Thanks for all the reply:), I was thinking that this was a bug or something since the light of the keypad and lcd of my previous SE phones always turns off when charging.

Hmmm, its weird, I just talked to a friend and his unit is functioning normal in a way that the lights goes off (not dimmed) when charging the phone:(.
Does anybody here knows if this is a bug? or simply upgrade the firmware to resolve this issue?

NO NO NO and NO!
Please, people, read the manual before spreading faulty assumptions, rumors, and bug "reports".
Please read page 72-73 of your manual. In case you were wondering, it's the thick small book that came in the phone's box. You didn't throw that too, did you?

Hi Symbiatico, I checked my phone by doing the following steps mentioned in the manual:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Select tools > Control panel > device > backlight
my current settings are the following:
Handheld:
Auto
Car holder:
Auto
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Even with this kind of settings, the backlight of the keypads and lcd remains on (dimmed) when charging

Yes,that's normal too. That's why the profile is called 'auto'.You are in your car and want your keypad and screen on to dial or search for a number. It's been discussed a lot on this thread b4.That's why Symbiatico reacted this way-ppl come here and wait days for answers when they have the manual... Use the search function and you'll find other threads, same replies, then same complaints all over, etc. End of my rant. PS:turn your phone face down when charging.End of story.
