im using mac os x to put songs onto my w800i but all it does is put them as tracks and wont organize as artist or anything how do i do this ?

You have to put them in folders for "artist" and sub-folders named for the "album", just like the hierarchy that iTunes uses.
I think SyncTunes will do it for you if you've set it up correctly.
