Hey, im new to this forum, and i just got myself a K790, and i would like to know why my transfered sound will not allow as a ringtone, what, or is this a program or something i can do to allow this?

Is your phone branded? Also, do you have voice answer on? You can`t use an mp3 ringtone when it`s on.

i HAD the same problem too! i downloaded a nice ringtone from sony ericsson website in mp3 format but i couldn't use it. then i converted the same file to WAV file and now i can use it as a ringtone. if you use k790a then you can't use mp3 formatted files as your ringtone. so try converting it to midi or wav. if you have trouble or don't know how to convert you can send your song to me and i will convert it for you. my email is

My unlocked K790a can use mp3s as ring tones with no problem. No need to convert them.
