I've tried turning it off and on and i tried taking the battery out for a couple minutes and it still isnt working. When I try to send a message it says sending message for a while then it says sending failed, no network but I tried making a phone call and that worked fine. Does anyone know whats wrong or how to fix it?

do you have the service centre and other settings correctly set on the phone? You'll need to ask someone else about what they are for your local network, as I gather your probably in the U.S. - which is why your using the a version of the s710. If you go into the main-menu on the phone, then go into messaging then -> 'settings' then -> 'sms' (vaguely like this as i'm having to use v600i menu-system to describe You should now see your settings here, if they are not filled in this will be why you cannot send text messages. I think that the only setting you need to fill in is the service centre number, on my v600i this is set as +447785016005 which is the Vodafone UK service centre number. You will need to find your service provider (carrier) settings elsewhere or get another forum member to send you them

hope you get it working, and that this helped

Sending SMS, MMS or making calls can fail due to operator overloading, hanging. Sometimes it happends in my contry too. When there are new services or falling prices, or simply FREE periods of SMS, MMS and calls, the operator's network hangs and seems to be overloaded due to mass mass mobile messaging or calling . So waiting is the only solution .
