> Gang raids two Carphone stores

Two West Midland Carphone Warehouse stores have been robbed by a gang armed with hammers. The Birmingham store on Hagley Road West was raided yesterday morning at 10.15 and the Dudley store was robbed earlier this month.
Three men, all whose faces were covered, threatened staff at the Hagley Road West branch before stealing a large number of mobile phones.
Staff in the Dudley attack were forced into the store room by three men in balaclavas and made to open the store room and were then forced to open the safe. The men took around 15 mobile phones as well as cash in the raid, which happened at 2pm on 7 December.
Two of the men are described as being white. One is around six feet tall of stocky build, the other around five foot seven of stocky build. The third man is described as being black, between five ten and six feet tall, of stocky build with a shaven head. It is believed they were in their late teens. Both stores that were targeted are arterial branches.
Carphone has told its staff working in surrounding areas that no one is to be left alone in their stores and banking is to be done daily. The retailer is working to block the IMEIs of the stolen handsets. A security guard has been posted at the Dudley store and one will begin working in the Birmingham store.

On Topic:
I remember my local Orange shop got raided a few years back,it was on a sunday and only 2 staff members were in store.they took around 50 high end phones and the cash from the safe.
