I have a W810i and in my car I have installed the HCA-60 and the cable that goes to the stereo (I don't know what it's called).
I have two problems.
1) The charging of the phone keeps going on and off even though my car is running fine all the time.
2) Since my HCA-60 is plugged into my stereo I should be able to listen on MP3s from my phone in my stereo speakers. That works fine for about 30 seconds then it disconnects. Specifically: I put the phone in the cradle, start the walkman and the song plays through my car speakers. Then after about 30 seconds it cuts off and the song continues playing but in my phone speaker.
Anyone know these problems? How can I fix it?
Thanks!

I would say that those are both symptoms of the same problem.
It appears your phone is switching from CAR/HANDSFREE profile back to its standard profile because after 30s it no longer detects the presence of the carkit, ie: the carkit has an inconsistant power supply or poor connection to the phone.
Try another w810 in the Holder and test.
Check the connection between the System Cable and the Holder. Check that the system Cable is not bent too tight. Test for continuity at both ends of the System Cable.
Check the fast port connector on the bottom of the phone and the corresponding contacts on the Holder. Clean with contact cleaner where necessary.
Check that the RED wire is connected to a
Constant 12V supply.
Check that the BLUE wire is connected to the
Accessory 12v supply. Ensure the red and blue wires are not juxstaposed.
Ensure the connectors are good. I prefer solder joints personally (make sure you insulate well or heat-shrink the joints if soldered).
If all apears ok, test the continuity of the red and blue power wires ( you'll need to remove them first).
Fit a known, good electronic control box and test.
Let me know how you get on
Ps: Dont go poking around power wires if you don't know where they go and dont test anything unless you know what result your looking for!
Get an expert or a knowledgable friend involved.
Good luck.

I checked the wiring again and they are correctly wired. The HCA-60 and the car stereo are both hooked up to the same power source and the stereo works fine so I don't believe that is the problem. I made sure that the red wire is hooked up to the battery and the blue wire is hooked up to the ignition.
I tried by-passing the holder and tried hooking up the cable directly from the HCA-60 to the phone but that didn't help anything.
I haven't tried another phone yet but am waiting to hear if my local phone store can help me out with one.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

More likely a faulty system cable than a faulty mobile holder (cradle).
Running out of ideas this end...

Thanks for responding to my problem. I'd like to add one more thing and that is that the "in car" mode and charging does not go on/off at the same time. Charging seems to be more reliable than the in car mode. Charging works most of the time while the In Car mode hardly works at all.
Does that info give you any more ideas/solution?
Thanks!

At this point I can only suggest substituting parts...
