Everytime I bring my cellphone near my computer, it makes this weird and loud noise. My cousin told me it's because it's interfering with the harddrive. Is that true?

Just interferes with the screen afaik, and the speakers but not the HDD or any other components.

It doesn't always interfere with all speakers or monitors, as far as I know it interferes with them if they have no magnetic shielding.

I have never experienced any interference problems whatsoever when my mobile phone is close to my personal computer. Not with the speakers. Not with the monitor. Not with the harddisks.

well, my k750 interferes with my home phone when an incoming call, sms, gprs is activated. it also inteferes with my pc speakers and my friend's monitor.

@tranced- mine also does interfer with my landline but never with my pc. My car radio also gets the interference.
