> Sony Ericsson phones to appear in Spiderman 3

Watch out for Sony Ericsson handsets in the movie Spiderman 3 that is set to hit the theatres next year. According to Mr Dee Dutta, Corporate Vice-President, Head of Marketing, Sony Ericsson.

Some of the company's mobile phones will feature in the movie Spiderman 3 which is now under production.This is in sync with Sony Ericsson's strategy to ride on the plank of "entertainment through music, movies and sport," said Mr Dutta.
While handsets T230 and Z200 were featured in Spiderman 2, James Bond was seen using the K800 model in Casino Royale. And just about every phone used in Da Vinci Code was a Sony Ericsson model.

SE don't pay a single thing for the use of the phones in films like Spiderman 3, Casino Royale etc. Spiderman 3 is a film by Columbia TriStar who are owned by Sony Pictures. Therefore, it makes perfect sense for them to subtly advertise any Sony/Sony Ericsson product as much as possible for as cheap as possible.

Most modern films are made or funded by Sony, so they aren't paying to have their phones in the films.

Looking forward to seeing all those new SE,s in in the latest installment of Spiderman. Like two posters said before me the appearance of
phones are all subsidised- they don't have to pay for the publicity because they're 50% owned by Sony.
